A New Store hits Town

Hobby Lobby has officially been opened in Burnham, Pa. The privately held national retail chain store has taken the place of a 55,000 square foot building that formally held a Kmart. The new store is expected to bring 35 to 50 jobs to the community. Pay for part-time asscoiates will be $13 per hour and $18.50 for full-time associates. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sundays.

Hobby Lobby is a popular craft and decor store that has over 900 locations in 47 states. They've got everything from tableware, decor, wedding supplies, holiday merchandise, to jewlery, and so much more. Founded by David Green, the business started as a little project for him and his wife in 1970. Two years later the first store opened in Oklahoma City. It is now the nation's largest privately owned craft store. They go by the slogan Live a Creative Life!
